Investigating the strange and the beautiful, is my main interest.

I work for me, myself and clients as an artist, designer, filmmaker, speaker, inventor, blogger, writer or whatever.

I am co-director of the All-Media foundation, an organisation that researches and visualizes current cultural issues.

I am also a parttime assistant Professor at the Industrial Design Department of the Eindhoven University of Technology. more infomore info

I am organiser and presenter of the Biggest Visual Power Show, an event that blends between a pop concert and a scientific conference.

I am (co) author of a some books; among them Next Nature Pocket, Visual Power, Entry Paradise – New Worlds of Design, Natuur 2.0, Style First, Masters of Rietveld, Artvertising, States of Nature, and Nieuwe Media in Nederland.

I have also worked as a teacher at the Sandberg Institute (2002-2006) and as a Visionairy in Residence at Art Center College of Design (2008).

I studied computer science, philosophy and art. I received a Masters of Science degree from Eindhoven University of Technology (1997) and a Masters of Fine Arts from Sandberg Institute, Amsterdam (2000). I am currently finishing my Doctor of Philosophy research (2009).

I like cookies, was born in 1974, live in Amsterdam and my personality type is mastermind.
